"It was a good opening for the
team," explained Head Coach
Fred Paulsen on Behrend's 72-49
exhibition win over Ryerson
Polytech.
The Lions played a very
strong game defensively in which
the Rams shot only 38 percent
from the floor. Behrend also out
rebounded the Rams by a margin
of 33-31.
"We went into the game
unprepared offensively," said
Paulsen who's team shot 44
percent from the floor in the
game. In the first half, the Lions
shot 52 percent, but in the second
half only shot 37 percent.
Paulsen expects good shots to be
taken and made.
Senior Rick Dcmski was the
scoring leader scoring with 18
points. Guards Randy Baughman

Freshman Don Plyler did a
fine job running the show when
Baughman needed a rest. This
will be very important during the
long season. He had an assist
and didn't commit any turnovers.
Freshman Byron Thorne also did
well coming off the bench. The
forward had four points and also
had four boards. Thorne could
possibly be the sixth man for the
Lion's team.

Paulsen about the team's play
last Sunday.
Paulsen treated the exhibition
game with the Rams as an actual
game, so not everyone saw time
