The result has been a four game winning streak. The 1990 women's softball team easily defeated Thiel College in both games of a doubleheader on April 8. In game one, Behrend blanked Thiel 10-0 in five innings on the strength of pitcher Erika Renwick's one-hitter. The Lady Lions defense was also superb, committing no errors. Renwick struckout five and walked none. Banker's squad is 5-1 and is on a four game winning streak after losing the season opener. The only baserunner for Thiel got on by virtue of an infield hit. Erica Scribner led the offensive attack with three hits, including a double and a triple, and four runs batted in. The Lady Lions blasted the hosts in the second game, 20-1. Beth Balizet weaved a two-hitter for her first victory of the year. Balizet recorded five strikeouts in five innings. Scribner was again hot at the plate, cracking four hits in five trips and knocking in three runs. Tammy Altsman, Michelle Hoover, and Melanie Dunn each had three hits.
