Police Report: Staff member's car tires slashed Driver arrested for driving on apartment complex sidewalk by Tony Olivito Collegian News Editor A college staff member discovered his vehicle's tires had been punctured by an undetermined instrument, according Randy Hoffman, head of Police and Safety. Two of the vehicle's tires were flattened. Estimated damage is approximately $175.00. The incident is believed to have occurred in the Glenhill parking lot between 1:35 and 5:15 am on March 16. "Diversity focused" courses will concentrate on one or more of the above topics specifically. A possible example of a diversity focused' course would be "Women's role in the Business World for the 90's." According to Hoffman, the driver did not stop to provide information or assistance. The suspected vehicle described as an orange truck with a white front fender. Charges for driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving on a sidewalk have been filed against an individual. The defendant failed three standardized sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. A subsequent breath test indicated that the defendant's blood alcohol content was .193% - almost twice the allowed limit by law. A Driving Under the Influence program was sponsored by Resident Assistant Mike Harvey and presented by Officer Todd which might focus on the establishment of Israel and their ensuing problems. Students can meet these requirements by taking selected courses in their major field, elective courses and General Elective courses. The report adds learning experiences, like studies abroad, certain internships, Peace Corps experiences may be accepted in place of classes, provided a Faculty Senate subcommittee approves the measure. Senate members and committees will spent the next year ironing out details of the approved diversity requirement Classes must go through an approval process before being designated "diversity focused" or "diversity enhanced" courses. Disorderly conduct charges have been brought against a commuter student. At 10:15 pm on March 16, a college staff member reported a person urinating in public outside of the 700 building of the apartments. The student is to be referred to the college disciplinary system. A college staff member reported the theft of a tennis net from court number 4. The theft occurred between March 16 at 2 pm and March 19 at 1 pm. The net is valued at $120.00.
