Amherst Saxophone Quartet
Cultural and Performing Arts Series to start
At 8:00 pm on Tuesday,
September 26, the Amherst
Saxophone Quartet will kick off
the 11th year of the Cultural and
Performing Arts Series at Penn
State-Behrend. This event will
take place in the Reed Lecture
Hall.
The Amherst Saxophone
Quartet is in its 11th year of
concert performances with the
original members: Salvatore
Andolina, Michael Nascimben,
Stephen Rosenthal, and Harry
Fackelman.
The Quartet performs standard
chamber music works, along with
a unique library of 20th century
composers, including many
commissioned works, music of
the Baroque, Ragtime and
American popular song.
Their first release for MCA
Records, "All Bach," was
completed on in February.

The next two events are being
held on Parents and Families
Weekend, October 6-8. "Four
Guys Standing Around Singing"
will perform at 9:00 pm on
Friday, October 6 in the Reed
Lecture Hall and the "Zagst-
Feldman Due" will perform at
11:00 am on Sunday, October 8,
in the Wintergarden.
