Elvis Presley Spotted
The Collegian has long attempted to quell rumors that Elvis
Presley remains alive, but we recently received some
astounding proof of this supposition. Collegian
Photographer Marybeth Zawistoski recently snapped this
photo capturing Elvis while on a hike at Shade's Beach. "I
was so shocked," said Zawistoski. "I looked up and not a
thousand feet in front of me I saw him. He was just sitting
there in the woods eating his lunch."
Wellness Week Activities

Next week will be Wellness
Awareness week and Behrend's
Health Advisory Board, headed by
Patty McMahon, has filled it
with events, ranging from
workshops by the co-author of
Pennsylvania's underage drinking
law to an auto detholition.
The third annual Wellness
Week will focus on all aspects of
wellness. "It's not just all diet
and exercise. Thete are a lot of
things going on in our lives that
we need to be aware of, so by
doing different types of programs

we can raise People's
consciousness that there are other
things you have to look at --
your attitude, stress level, use of
alcohol . ~" said McMahon.
Ron Hansis, coach of the Erie
Panthers, and the Behrend Pep
Band will open the ceremonies at
noon on Monday. A strength
training and power lifting
demonstration will be given by
the Behrend Barbell Club at 4
that afternoon in Reed 117.
A mock trial, entitled "Guilty
as Charged? - Driving Under the
Influence" will be held in the first
floor of the Winter Garden at
7:30- Monday night. The trial

will be acted out by Charles
Smith, District Justice; Assistant
District attorney John Trucilla;
student Steve Stegman; Police
and Safety Manager Randy
Hoffman, and Todd Allen, Police
and Safety officer. .
The Life Star Helicopter will
be on campus from 11 am to 1
pm Tuesday.
The Health and Wellness Fair
will run from 10 am to 4 pm.
The fair, which will be held in
the Reed Building, will feature
between 25 and 30 exhibits
including free glaucoma screening
from the Erie Center for the
Blind, free hearing tests, displays
Reportedly, Elvis appeared to be eating jelly doughnuts and
drinking Gatorade. Zawistoski admits Elvis is difficult to
pick out in the photo but says, "If you look real closely at
the top of the picture, you can see him sitting under a pine
tree. He's kind of in the middle-left part of the picture. His
white . jump suit just caught my eye. He looked older and
Latta!, but it was definetely Elvis."

A polygraph demonstration
will., be given Tuesday by
polygraph expert Trooper
William Miles of the
Pennsylvania State Police. Miles
will present his demonstration
and lecture, entitled. "Polygraph
Testing, the Legal Issues," at 7
pm in Reed 116.
