SPAVIN CURE
KENDALL'S SPAVIiV CURE !
THE MOST SUCCESSFUL REMEDY EVER
discovered, as It Is certain In Its eltects and does
not blister. Read Proof Below.
From Rev. K. F. Granger,
Presiding Elder of the 8t. Albans District.
St. Albans, Vt., Jan. 20th, 1880.
DR. J. B. KENDALL & CO., Gents: In reply
to your letter I will say that my experience with
Kendall's spavin Cure has been vory satisfactory
Indeed. Three or fouryears ago I procured a bot
tle of your agent, and with It, cured a horse of
lameness caused by Spavin. Last season my
horse became very lame and I turned him out for
a few weeks when he became better, but when I
put him on the road he grew worse, when I dis
covered that a ring-bone was forming, I procured
a bottle of Kendall's Soavin Cure, and with less
than a bottle cured him so that he Is not lame,
neither can the bunch be found.
Respectfully yours,
P. N. GRANGER.
Perseverance Will Tell 1
Stoughton, Mass., March 16m, 1880.
B.J. Kendall & Co., Gents: In justice to you
and myself, I think 1 ought to let you know that I
have removed TWO BONE SPAVINS with Ken
dall's Spavin Cure," one very large one: don't
know how long the Spavin had been there. I
have owned the horse eigiit mouths. It took me
four months to take the large one off, and two
months for the small one. 1 hate used 10 bottles.
The horse Is entirely well, not at all stlif.and no
bunch to be sen or felt. This is a wonderful
medicine. It is a new thing here, but If it does
for all what it has done for me Its sale will be very
great. Respectfully yours,
CHAS. E.PARKER.
Is sure In effects, mild in Its action as It does
not blister, and yet Is penetrating and powerful to
reach any deep seated pain or to remove any
bony growth or any other enlargement. If used
for several days, such as spavins, splints, curbs,
callous, spral us, swellings, any lameness and all
enlargements of the Joints or limbs, or rheuma
tism In man and for any purpose for which a lin
iment for man or beast. It is now known to be
the best liniment for man ever used, acting mild
and yet certain In its effects. It Is used full
strength with perfect safety at all seasons of the
year.

think gives positive proof of its virtues. No

F. MORTIMER,
What She Saw In Church.
He ntnyed at homo and she went to
church; after dinner he asked her.
" What was the text, May V"
"Oh, something somewhere In Gener
ations; I have forgotten the chapter and
verse. Mrs, Hlgbt sat right before me
with a Mother Hubbard bonnet on.
How could I hear anything when I
could not even see the minister? I
wouldn't have worn such a looking
thing to church if I had to have gone
bareheaded."
"How did you like the new minister?"
" Oh, he's splendid ! aud Kate Dartin
was there in a Spanish lace cap that
never cast lees than $50; and they can't
pay their butcher bills, and I'd wear
cotton.lace or go without any first."
" Did he say anything about the new
mission fund ?"
" No, and the Jones girls were all rig
ged out in their yellow silks made over;
you would have died laughing to have
seen them. Such taste as these glrla
have; and the minister gave out that
the Dorcas Society will meet at Jones'
residence the old poky place."
" It seems you didn't hear much of
the semon."
" Well, I'm sure It's better to go to
church, If you don't hear the sermon,
than to stay at home and read the pa
pers ; and oh, Harry 1 the new minister
has a lovely voice, it nearly puts me to
sleep, and did I tell you that the Rich's
are home from Europe, and Mrs. Rich
had a real camel's hair shawl on, and it
didn't look like anything on her."
A long silence, during which Harry
thought of several things, and wife was
busy contemplating the sky or view,
then she suddenly exclaimed :
"There I I knew I'd forgot to tell
you something. Would you believe it,
Harry, the fringe on Mrs. Jones' para
sol was an inch deeper than mine and
twice as heavy 1 Oh, dear I what a world

A Small Boy's Wandering Thought,
A good mother, whose 5-year-old boy
Is exceptionally concientlous and devout
has often been smitten with a pang of
apprehension lest her darling might be
too good for this world. The thought
came into her mind the other day, when
her head was bowed by the side of her
child's at prayer-time; but this pain was
quickly banished by a very different
feeling when the little boy said, in a low
whisper; "Mamma, can't I go to the
circus to-morrow ? There's going to be
a horse on stilts." Sunday School

WA funny story Is told of Beva Lock
wood, the female lawyer of Washington.
A witty fellow was once her opposing
counsel, and when be desired to refer to
the Hon. Belva was perplexed. He
couldn't say "my brother," as he did
when speaking of the lawyers who wore
pants. He didn't like to 8y "my sister,"
out of respect to that expression. He
sent a smile over the room iy referring
to Belva as " my sister-in-law," but she
certainly looked daggers at him.
