A Good (leason.
At the renting of the pewslu a Chicago
church the other evening, there wa a
hot competition for No. 78, and bids ran
up to a large sum. It wan finally knock,
ed down to Brother H. " Why were

W A brother of Bishop Clark was
one of the wittiest men alive. It runs

of his parishioners, a lady with a pro
digious family, which bad recently been
increased. As he rose to leave, the lady
stopped him with "but you have not
seen my last baby." " No," he quickly
replied, " and I never expect to." Then
