MRS. L. GUTSHALL
Mrs. Velma G. Gutshall,
56, of Bainbridge R1, died at
Lancaster General Hospital,
Wednesday evening after a
lengthy illness.
She was the wife of
Lawrence J. Gutshall. Born
in Mount Joy, she was a
daughter of the late Christ-
tan R. and Lizzie Geibe
Sherk.
Mrs. Gutshall had been a
resident of Bainbridge for
the past 30 years and was
formerly of Mount Joy. She
was employed with Wyeth
Laboratories, Marietta. She
was a member of Chiques
United Methodist Church
and was a Sunday school
teacher and choir member of
the church. She was a
member of the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Bainbridge
Fire Company.

9:05 a.m., in Lancaster
General Hospital, Monday
after a lengthy illness.
Born in East Donegal
Township, she was the
daughter of Mary Jane Edye
Williams, Bainbridge RI,
and the late Harry E.
Williams. She was a mem-
ber of Stevens Hill Church
of the Brethren.
Besides her mother, she
is survived by her husband,
Clyde S. Dupler; three sons:
Harry T., Bainbridge RI;
Dennis L. and Gary E., both
of Elizabethtown; three
grandchildren, and one sis-
ter and one brother, Sara M.
Williams and Harry L.
Williams, both of Bain-
bridge RI.
Surviving, in addition to
her husband, are three
daughters: Connie, wife of
Michael J. Rank, Bain-
bridge Rl; Kathy, wife of
Kim D. Schatz, Bainbridge;
Mindy Gutshall, at home;
three grandchildren; three
brothers: Christian R. Sherk
and Jacob G. Sherk, both of
Mount Joy; Lewis G. Sherk,
Columbia; and three sisters:
Mrs. Blanche Miller, Mount
Joy; Ella, wife of Carl
Freed, York; and Florence,
wife of Charles E. Metzger,
Neffsville.
MRS. W. ARMOLD
Mrs. Mary J. Armold,
58, of 424 East Market
Street, Marietta, was pro-
nounced dead on arrival at
Lancaster General Hospital,
Thursday at S:15 p.m.
She became ill at her
home and was taken to the
hospital in a Marietta
ambulance. An autopsy is
scheduled.
A lifelong resident of
the Marietta area, she was a
member of Zion Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Marietta,
December 3, 1975
and was the widow of
Woodrow W. Armold, who
died in 1964.
Born in East Donegal
Township, she was a daugh-
ter of the late Jacob H. and
Mary Wagner Kline.
Surviving are four child-
‘ren, George B. Armold,
Beverly, wife of Vincent
Ruby, and Donald E. Arm-
old, all of Marietta, and Paul
W. Armold, at home; seven
grandchildren and two sis-
ters and two brothers,
Amelia, wife of Grabill
Gorman, Paul Kline, and
Jacob Kline, all of Marietta,
and Clara, wife of Charles
Smith, Columbia.
