Hidingplace’’, now showing at the State Theatre in Columbia is a dramatic story of unfaltering Christ- ian faith. The film tells the story of a Dutch Christian family in the Nazi-occupied Nether- lands who form a link in an underground railroad for Jews. The true story follows two sisters in the family into a German prison and a Nazi concentration camp. The family members find the integrity of their Christ- ian ethics challenged by political and social injustice. Their faith in Christ carries them through their suffer- ing, though—even through their deaths. ‘““The Hidingplace’’ is a well-acted, dramatic inspir- ation to Christians.
