The BULLETIN has a-
dopted a new policy about
letters to the editor.
In the past we have
published letters without a
person’s name—provided
we knew the identity of the

Dear Editor:
Webster simply doesn’t
contain enough superlatives
to amply express our total
satisfaction with our exem-
plary medical institution,
the Columbia Hospital.
From the moment of our
son’s entrance into the
professionally staffed emer-
gency unit, throughout the
stages of his admission,
over three weeks of con-
cerned and dedicated care,
and his subsequent recovery
and release, we encountered
naught but efficiency, con-
stancy, proficiency, and
immaculateness. Having
experienced eleven and a
half years of city hospitali-
zation, there is no compari-
son to the personal, amiable,
familial atmosphere of The
Columbia Hospital.
May we extend our
deepest appreciation to the
medical staff and the board
of directors for their volun-
tary guidance and know-
ledge, experience and ta-
lents to perpetuate the
“‘consummate care facility”
we are all privileged to call
our own. Our gratitude is
extended to the doctors and
nurses on our son's case and
especially to the inhalation
therapy team with whom
we've had our first en-
counter. This team has con-
sistantly produced reward-
ing results with their efforts.
In addition to their pro-
fessionalism, they are ex-
tremely personable and
helped our son through
many tiresome ordeals.
Thank God for our ex-
cellent community hospital
and for the personnel our
hospital employs. All of us,
encompassing the entire
serviceable area of The
Columbia Hospital, should
be constantly supportive
and proud of its existence
and reputation.
Sincerely,
Mr. and Mrs.

Letters to editor
the writer's identity was
heresay for our legal protec-
tion.
In the future, we have
decided to publish letters
only if the writer is willing to
have his name published
with his or her letter.
Dear Editor:
Enclosed is my check for a
one-year renewal to the
SUSQUEHANNA BULLE-
TIN.
My husband and I enjoy
the paper. We are both
from the area -- I from
Mount Joy and he from the
Middletown area. It keeps
me up-to-date on the news
about friends and acquain-
tances, and we both enjoy
the special interest stories
about the citizens of the area
and the new attractions in
the area. We get back to the
Donegal area quite fre-
quently and have been
spending our summers in
that vicinity for several
years; so we are kept
informed of new develop-
ments through the SUS-
QUEHANNA BULLETIN
From Our

This new policy will, we
think, encourage a sense of
responsibility in writing
letters to the editor.
We want more letters to
the editor, signed letters.
and search out those things
of interest when we return.
Sincerely
Cynthia Ann Hertzler
