Evangelistic Services at
the Chiques United Metho-
dist Church will be held
Sunday, November 9th,
through Wednesday, Nov-
ember 12th. All services are
at 7:30 p.m.
Evangelist is Dr. Thomas
A. Buttimer, former District
Superintendent and now
Director of Pocono Area
Ministries and Pastor of the
church at Hemlock Farms,
Pa.
Other churches included
Trinity Methodist, Philadel-
phia; Haws Avenue, Norris-
town; and Drexel Hill
United Methodist Church
which had a membership of
1,700.
Dr. Buttimer graduated
from West Chester State
College, Eastern Baptist
Seminary, and Temple Uni-
versity School of Theology.
He received an honorary
degree of Doctor of Divinity
from Eastern Baptist Semi-
nary.
He is married to Mary
Morrison Beggs. They have
two sons, John and Thomas.
Special music will be
available each of the four

YOUTH CENTER OPEN
by Rev. James Reapsome
The Marietta Youth Cen-
ter, 400 E. Front St., is now
open for another winter
season’s program for child-
ren and youth in the
community.
Activities include basket-
ball, volleyball, pool, ping-
pong, and group Bible
studies. Each night’s
program is directed by a
team of adult counselors.
Following is the schedule:
Mondays, 7:15-9:30 p.m.,
boys aged 9 to 12.
Tuesdays, 7:15-9:30 p.m.,
boys aged 13 to 1S.
Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., girls
aged 13 to 15.
Friday, 7-9 p.m., girls
aged 9 to 12.
The facility and the
program are operated by the
Congregational Bible
Church of Marietta. There
is no charge for any of the
activities.

CHIQUES UNITED
METHODIST YOUTH
Sunday evening, October
26, 1975, the Youth of
Chiques United Methodist
Church hosted a Halloween
Party for the members of the
church. As the guests
arrived they were shown the
way to a fun house which
was set up in the basement
of the church. After all were
arrived up stairs from the
fun house, prizes were
awarded to the funniest,
ugliest, prettiest, one which
did the most work, and most
orginial. Games were
planned and conducted by
the youth for the various age
groups. Refreshments fol-
lowed which were also
prepared by the youth.
Special guest for the party
was Bradly Tyler, Disc
Jockey from the WPDC
Radio Station in Elizabeth-
town. Mr. Tyler served as
MC for the party and played
records during the course of
the party.
EPISCOPAL
TUPPERWARE PARTY
The Episcopal Young
Chruchmen of St. Luke’s
Church in Mount Joy are
planning a Tupperware Par-
ty at the church on Friday,
November 14 from 10:00
A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and
Saturday, November 15
from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00
P.M.
All Proceeds from the
Tupperware Party will be
used to finance expenses for
the Youth Conference at
Bucknell University in June,
1976.
No orders will be accepted
by telephone.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
The Salem United Metho-
dist Church of Rothsville
will be holding a Christmas
Bazaar on Friday, Novem-
ber 7, 6-9 p.m. and
Saturday, November 8, 9-5
p.m.
Lunch will be available on
Saturday.
Featured will be hand
made Christmas decora-
tions, hand made crafts,
ceramics, quilts, jellies,
jams, baked goods—all at
reasonable prices.

ASSOCIATION MEETING
Witness Tree District
Association Meeting will be
held Wednesday, November
S, 1975, at the Donegal
Springs Presbyterian
Church in Mount Joy.
There will be a tour of the
church beginning at 7 p.m.
and the meeting will con-
vene promptly at 7:30.
