Mrs. J. Greider
Mrs. Ada L. Greider, 82,
of Mount Joy Rl, died
Tuesday, October 28 at her
home. Death was attributed
to a heart attack. She was
the widow of J. Roy Greider,
who died in 1973.
Born in Mount Joy Town-
ship, she was a daughter of
the late Amos N. and Emma
Lehman Risser. A retired
bookkeeper and secretary
for Greider Farms Inc., she
was a member of the Mount
Joy Mennonite Church,
Farm Women Society 8, the
Elizabethtown Senior Citi-
zens Club, and a charter
member of the Pennsylvania
Farmers Association.
Surviving are two sons,
Jay R. Greider Jr., Eliza-
bethtown, J. Robert Greid-
er, Mount Joy; one daugh-
ter, Lilly Ann, wife of
William C. Nichol, State
College; five grandchildren,
two great-grandchildren,
and a brother, Ira. L. Risser,
Dauphin R1.

Wilson S. Smith
Wilson S. Smith, 83,
formerly of Mount Joy, died
at Conestoga View Saturday
at 3 a.m. after an illness of
several months.
He had retired in 1961 as
a ward attendant at Cones-
toga View.
He was the husband of
the late Ethel G. Smith.
Born in New Providence,
he was a son of the late
George H. and Anna M.
Aukamp Smith.
Surviving are these sons
and daughters: Paul W. and
Harry H., Quarryville;
Cecilia, wife of John L.
Hughes, and Maydell, wife
of Merle Bernhardt, both of
Lancaster; a step-daughter,
J. Lorraine Nauman, Mount
Joy; a step-son, Robert
Witman, Lancaster; 11
grandchildren; 32 great-
grandchildren; two great-
great-grandchildren, and a
sister, Mrs. Edna Deen,
Lancaster,
Mrs. H. Hauenstein
Mrs. Mabel Garber Ha-
uenstein, 86, of 127 N.
Barbara St., Mount Joy,
died early Thursday at
Whitehall Nursing and Con-
valescent Center, where she
had been a patient seven
months.
A 70 year resident of
Mount Joy, Mrs. Hauen-
stein was a member of St.
Mark’s United Methodist
Church. She was a widow of
Harry G. Hauenstein.
She was born in Rapho
Township a daughter of the
late Aaron R. and Susan D.
Ober Garber.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. Pauline H. Supperl,
Mount Joy; a step-son, John
E. Hauenstein, Portland,
Ore.; three step-daughters,
Minerva, wife of Earl G.
Mumma, and Catherine,
wife of Walter Zecher, both
of Mount Joy, and Parthene,
wife of Paul Hess, Eliza-
bethtown R3, and four
grandchildren.
Annual dinner at Glossbrenner
The Annual Congrega-
tional Dinner of Glossbren-
ner United Methodist
' Church, Mount Joy, will be
held Thursday, November 6,
6:30 p.m., in the Fellowship
Hall. Over 300 persons will
gather for this social event
on the church calendar.
Thirty-seven hostesses have
extended personal invita-
tions to members and
friends of the congregation
and will perform their duties
at the dinner.
The Congregational Din-
ner this year will launch

share the
Glossbrenner’s participation
in our nation’s bicentennial
observance. A slide pre-
sentation under the direc-
tion of Richard Peifer,
chairman of the church's
bicentennial committee, will
local church
heritage. Glossbrenner
Church dates back to 1839,
ana the congregation had
the first church building in
Lancaster County among the
former United Brethren in
Christ Church. Glossbren-
ner Church is also ‘‘The
Mother Church’’ of all
former United Brethren
Churches in northwestern
Lancaster County.
The Annual Chruch Con-
ference will also be included
in the program of the
evening when several
church officials for 1976 will
be elected.
The ladies of St. Mark’s
United Methodis Church
will prepare and serve the
dinner. Persons from
Chiques United Methodist
Church will staff the
nursery.

Mrs. Dorothy E. Clugs-
ton, S3, of 156 Manheim St.,
Mount Joy, died Thursday
afternoon in Lancaster Gen-
eral Hospital after a long
illness.
Born in Mount Joy, she
was a daughter of Mrs.
Mildred Mateer Zerphey,
Mount Joy, and the late
Peter L. Zerphey.
She was the wife of
Wayne A. Clugston and
lived her entire life in Mount
Joy. She was a member of
the Ladies Auxiliary of
Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post S752, Mount Joy.
For eight years before
196S, she had served as
borough tax collector. She
was also a secretary and
bookkeeper for Donegal
School District and Seiler
Printing Co., Mount Joy.
Besides her husband and
mother, she is survived by a
daughter, Judy K., wife of
Ross E. Witman, York; two
grandchildren and a
brother, Donald E. Zerphey,
Mount Joy.
Harry L. Boyce
Harry L. Boyce, 8S, of 231
S. Middletown Rd., Elwyn,
Delaware County, retired
employee of Allied Chemical
Company, died Friday at
Crozer-Chester Medical
Center, Upland.
Born in Rapho Township,
he was a son of the late
Clifford W. and Elizabeth
Felker Boyce. He moved to
his late residence in 1922.
Boyce was a 1911 gradu-
ate of the Williamson School
of Mechanical Trades, El-
wyn, and retired as a
draftsman in 1958 from
Allied Chemical’s Barett
Division, Philadelphia.
He was a member of the
Middletown Presbyterian
Church and Concord
Masonic Lodge 62S, both of
Middletown, Delaware
County.
Survivors include his wid-
ow, Elizabeth Weischedel
Boyce, two children, Harry
L. Jr., Lynchburg, Va. and
Betty, wife of Isaac B.
Johnson, Fort Lauderdale,
Fla.
Also surviving is a sister,
Dorothy M., wife of Oscar
Frey, Mount Joy, and three
grandchildren.
Services were held Mon-
day in Middletown, Dela-
ware County.
