Donegal Mills Plantation,
located south of Mount Joy
and recently restored by Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Zink, was
declared an historic site
Sunday by the Historic
Preservation Committee of
Lancaster County.
Deer licenses
Anterless deer license
applications will be accepted
from Pennsylvania resident
hunters beginning on Sep-
tember 29, under rules and
regulations adopted by the
Game Commission.
Under the Game Law,
county treasurers are desig-
nated as the issuing agents
for antlerless deer licenses.
The Game Law provides that
antlerless deer licenses
“shall be issued without
restriction or regard to the
county residence of the
Pennsylvania applicant.”

The marriage of Miss
Marcia Louise Strominger,
1927 Queenswood Drive,
York, Pa., to Robert Steph-
en Strine took place on
Saturday, September 27, at
11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s
United Methodist Church,
Mount Joy, with the Rever-
end Richard Kohler officiat-
ing.
The bride chose a gown of
a la mode auer taffeta with
nottingham and venice lace.
The high neckline and
bodice have lace trimming.
The long sleeves have
appliques of venice lace and
a cuff of nottingham lace.

beth St., Maytown. She was
graduated from Donegal
High School, York Hospital
School of Nursing and
Messiah College. She is
Employed as a faculty
member by York Hospital
School of Nursing.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert P.
Strine, 356 East Jackson St.,
York, Pa. He was grad-
uated from Maburn Prep
School, and Mt. St. Mary’s
College. He is employed by
Dolomite Brick Corporation
of America, York, Pa.
Miss Marilyn Strominger,
Mount Joy, Pa., was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Florence Bixler, Lititz
and Ms. Dixie Bigelow,
Gettysburg.
Serving as best man was
Dennis L. Shaffer of York.
Ushers were Donald Strine,
York, and Kenneth Strom-
inger, Jr., Maytown.
The organist was Mr.
Gerald Miller and the soloist
was Dennis Shaffer. Follow-
ing the ceremony a recep-
tion was held at Hostetter’s
Banquet Hall, Mount Joy.
The couple will live in
York, Pa., after a honey-
moon in the Poconos.

The Mount Joy Business
and Professional Women’s
Club held their first monthly
meeting of the 1975—76
year, Monday, September
22, at 6:30 p.m., at
Hostetter’s Banquet Hall,
with the World Affairs
Committee in charge of the
program.
Mary Jane Hoffer, chair-
man of the World Affairs
Committee, introduced the
entertainment and the
speaker for the evening.
Entertainment was pro-
vided by Mr. John Smith,
cornetist, who played three
selections: ‘‘Carnival of
Venice’’, ‘‘The Holy City”
and ‘‘Finiculi, Finicula”.
Mr. Smith is cornet soloist
with the Rohrerstown Band.
He was accompanied on the
piano by Mrs. Gerry Getz,
who is a teacher in
Hempfield School District.
The speaker for the
evening was Rev. David
Barnhart, whose topic was
‘““Jews and Arabs—Will
There Ever be Peace?’.
Rev. Barnhart is pastor of
Christ Lutheran Church,
Dallastown. He was a tour
guide to Israel for five years
and is a lecturer and teacher
on the Holy Lands and
Modern Israel. He is also’ a
graduate of Clarion State
College, Clarion, Pa., and
Southern Lutheran Semi-
nary, Columbia, South Car-
olina.

there will be eleven homes,
two churches and the Mount

National Business Women’s
Week (October 19—25) will
be held Sunday, October 19
at 9:00 a.m., at Lacy’s
Lounge, Marietta.
Adult classes in Spanish, pottery at D.H.S.
If enough people are

for adults in pottery and
conversational Spanish will
be offered at Donegal High
School this fall.
