On Monday Donegal
clashed with Lampeter-
Strasburg on Donegal’s
home field in an exciting
thriller that finished in a
double overtime.
The Indians wouldn’t be
denied the victory that day
as they came from behind
twice and eventually won
the game. Dave Weber tied
the match at 2—2 with six
minutes left in the game. In
the second overtime period
Chris McCue scored the
winning goal on a penalty
kick, the score being Mc-
Cue’s second in the game.
Thursday afternoon the
Indians traveled to Penn
Manor and shut out the
Comets 1—0 in rain. Both
teams had trouble generat-
ing any offense because of
the adverse weather. Bob
Barto scored the only goal of
the game on a direct kick in
the second period. Donegal
is now 3—0 in league play.
J-V soccer
wins, draws
The Donegal J.V. soccer
team had a horrendous
opening five minutes a-
gainst Lampeter-Strasburg,
giving up three fast goals.
The Indians never quit,
though, and battled back to
gain a 3—3 tie. Randy
Houseal scored twice and
Mike Sager tallied one for
Donegal’s cause.
At Penn Manor the
Donegal J.V.’s struck twice
in the the first period and
added a third period goal to
defeat the Penn Manor
J.V.’s 3—0. Mike Sager

Football team defeats Solanco,
Brooks, Gainer score in Indian’s first win
The Indians scored their
first victory of the season
last Saturday, defeating
Solanco 13-9.
Donegal’s offense was
impressive all afternoon. In
the first quarter, the Indians
drove 73 yards on the
ground for the game's first
touchdown. Al Brooks scor-
7-0.
Solanco scored next. Dave
Bleacher booted a 24 yard
field goal in the third
quarter. In the fourth
period, Solanco jumped
ahead when Randy Hart hit
Jerry Dickenson with an 11
yard touchdown pass.
Finding themselves at a
9-7 disadvantage, the Indi-
