Sandy Ginder weds G. Martin
The marriage of Miss
Sandra Jean Ginder to
Gilbert Neal Martin took
place Saturday 13 at 10 a.m.
at the Chiques Church of the
Brethren, Manheim, with
Rev. J. Becker Ginder and
Robert O. Hess officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Z.
Ginder, R.D. #3, Elizabeth-
town. She is a graduate of
Elizabethtown Area High
School and Mount Joy
Vo-Tech. She is employed at
Ruhl’'s Flowers in Mount
Joy.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra M.
Martin, R.D. #1, Ephrata.
He graduated from Lancas-
ter Mennonite High School
and Willow Street Vo-Tech.
He is employed by Ivan Z.
Garman, Builder, in Ephra-
ta.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a
white floor length gown with
a fitted bodice and empire
waist, featuring chantilly
lace trim at the cuffs,
- neckline and skirt. She wore
a floor length mantilla veil
trimmed with matching
lace.
She carried a cascade of
white gardinas, stephanotis
and orange roses.
Attendents wore rust-
orange gowns and carried
bouquets of fall . colored
chrysanthamums and
orange sweet heart roses.
The maid of honor was
Miss Lu Ann Shelly, Man-
heim. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Renee Brandt, Lititz
and Miss Sharon Eberly,
Denver.
The flower girl was Miss
Rachelle Denlinger, niece of
the groom.
The best man was Dale
Martin, Bloomsfield, Pa.
Ushers were Louis Hurst,
Ephrata; Calvin Martin,
brother of the groom;
Leonard Nolt, Ephrata; and
Kenneth Hurst, Lititz.
Barry Rissmiller, staff sgt.
Barry W. Rissmiller of Mt.
Joy has been notified of his
promotion to staff sergeant
in the Pa. Air National
Guard at Harrisburg Inter-
national Airport, Middle-
town.
An Air Frame Repairman,
Sergeant Rissmiller is as-
signed to the 193rd Consoli-
dated Aircraft Mainten-
ance Squadron at the
Airport.
L. Thomas joins Farmers First
Mr. Larry A. Thomas,
Manheim, has joined the
staff of Farmers First Bank
as an Estate Planning
Officer to serve the Ephrata
area.
A graduate of Millersville
State College with a B.A. in
Sociology, he was previously
employed as a Brokerage
Consultant with Connecticut
General Life Insurance
Company, engaged in Es-
tate Planning for Business
Owners and Executives.
His office will be located
in the Ephrata office of
Farmers First Bank, 22
West Main Street, Ephrata.

Gallo brothers enlist together
Barry and David Gallo
enlisted in the United States
Army on June 13. The
brothers are the sons of
Betty and Richard Gallo,
R.D.1, Marietta.
David went on active duty
on July 15 to Fort Dix, N.J.
for his basic training. He'll
then go on to Fort Eustis,
Va. for his advanced indivi-
dual training as a Air Frame
Repairman.
Barry will be at basic
training on September 9 and
then he’ll go on to Fort Bliss
in Texas as a Defense
Acquisition Radar Mecha-
nic.
Both brothers are gradu-
ates of Donegal High School
and both attended West
Chester State and Millers-
ville State Colleges. David is
a DHS graduate of 1969, and
Barry graduated in 1971.
Also, both men plan to
enter the Army’s AHEAD
program to further their
education. (AHEAD stands
for Army Help for Education
and Development.)
Eileen Grimm joins Army
Eileen Grimm, RD 1 Box
107, Marietta, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Dean N.
Grimm of the same address
will be leaving for basic
training at Fort MC Clellan,
Alabama on the 15th of this
month.
Eileen, who will be
trained as a Hospital Mess
Steward after basic training,
said that she is undecided
exactly where she wants to
Art exhibit at
Elizabethtown College’s
Student Activities office will
sponsor an exhibit and sale
of approximately 600 origin-
al prints from the Ferdinand
Roten Galleries collection on
Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The event will be held in
the Baugher Student Center
Lounge from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m.
On exhibit will be prints
by such masters as Picasso,
Goya, Renoir and Hogarth,
along with those of many of
today’s American artists,
some famous and some not
yet famous.
Area residents are invited
to browse through this
outstanding collection of
original graphics. A
knowledgeable Roten repre-
sentative will be on hand to
answer questions about the
prints and the artists and to
discuss other prints not in
this collection but which
may be obtained from the
gallery in Baltimore.
A world-respected author-
ity on graphics of all types,
Roten holds exhibitions and
sales at major museums,
colleges, art galleries and
art centers throughout the
United States and Canada.
The informal displaying of
the collection allows visitors
to examine at close range
the various graphic tech-
niques of different artists.
Elizabethtown College is
presenting Alf Sjoberg’s
film adaptation of the
Strindberg play, ‘‘Miss
Julie,” on Wednesday,
Sept. 17, as part of its fall
go but she is sure that the
Army experience will bene-
fit her in her future years.
Eileen is also looking
forward to furthering her
education under the Army's
new project AHEAD (Army
Help for Education And
Developement). If she finds
that military life is agree-
able with her she may make
it a career.

shown in Esbenshade Audi-
torium at 8 p.m., is open to
the public without charge.
There are three other
films scheduled in the
series: ‘‘L’Avventure’’ on
Oct. 8, ‘‘Oedipus the King”’
on Nov. 12, and ‘‘1776’’ on
Dec. 9. These also will be
shown in Esbenshade at 8
p.m.
“Miss Julie’’ is a power-
ful film establishing Sjo-
berg, who taught Bergman,
as a masterful director in his
own right.
