these children,
school really begins
What do they expect to do,
play, learn in kindergarten?

Danny Heisey
Danny Heisey, brontosaur
Danny Heisey. son of Mr.
and Mrs. Danicl Heisey. 630
Church St. Mount Joy,
savs., “If 1 don’t learn
anything. I'm not staying.
“I don’t know what I'm
going to learn. but I want to
Icarn something - 1 hope.
“1 know onc thing. They
have a thing there you can
climb up. but if you do you'll
fall down through...I'm not
going up on that.
**But. they have a nice
sliding board, and they also
have somc nice hippety-
hops.
**But most of all | want to
learn.”
There's onc thing Danny
docsn’t want to learn about
in school] - dinosaurs.
That's bhffcause he already
knows about them. In fact,
it is his ambition to be a
dinosaur when he grows up.
Specifically, he would like
to bc a brontosaurus, an
animal he admires tremen-
dously, because a bronto-
saurus does not eat meat,
only vegetables, and is very
gentle although so huge. A
brontosaurus will not attack
other animals unless first
attacked, and then will fight
back not with its jaws but
with its powerful tail.
Danny definitely does not
want to be a Tyrannosaurus
Rex which eats meat.
In training to be a
brontosaurus. Danny says,
“I'm cutting down on hot.
dogs and hamburgers. |
want vegetables.”
