And sail their leaf boats on your crest
As you meander on your guest
To find the river, then the sea
Through the meadows, past the lea.
I like to look up at the sky
And watch the cloud folks passing by.
There’s the little girl with her soft,
white sheep.
And little Boy Blue still fast asleep.
A pirate ship with its motley crew.
Plundering the sea, the sky of blue.
Your spirit, frozen, cold and crushed.
But the morrow, new hope brings
Then your throat a new song, sings
When at last you greet the sea.
Your miles and miles away from me.
Look! there’s Eeyore, he’s lost his tail.
And Goldilocks and Baby bear,
And Rip Van Winkle, I declare!
It’s stange, I think, grown folks can’t see.
The cloud folks quite as plain as me.
Tumbling down the gentle hills
Cutting through the rocks and rills.
Rushing, angry, sometimes when,
Springtime swells your banks with rain.
When winter comes and chills your bed.
And heaps the snow upon your head.
Then your babbling voice is hushed.
If I should ever follow you
Down through the shady little glen
Where the wood nymphs come to swim
