Page 12 — SUSQUEHANNA BULLETIN Donegal Band tunes up at camp The band at attention Approximately 150 Done- gal High School band members, personnel, chap- erones and directors attend- ed the third annual band camp at Gettysburg College last week. New routines, drills and practice sessions under the direction of Glen Leib filled the hours from 7a.m. until 9:30p.m. daily. The band also had free time for swimming, ping pong or rest periods from the schedule. Albert Sako, drill master from West Chester, was guest instruc- tor. His daughter Helena assisted with the drills as did Debbie Myers or Eliza- bethtown, and Arthur Bach- man of Mount Joy, a former drum major. A demonstra- tion of what the group learned was presented Sat- urday morning. Band uniforms will be distributed Wednesday to juniors and seniors and Thursday night during practice session at the High School. Band officers are Steve Hassinger, president; Scott Brightbill, vice-presi- dent; Natalie Zuch, secre- tary; Melody Mummau, treasurer; and Tammy Newcomer, historian. Jackie Frey is captain of the color guard, Patty Storm is featured majorette, Cindy Charles is head majorette and Phil Good is drum major.
