Despite all the rain
showers Tue. July 1S, our |
swim team won by a 253-173
score to Manheim at their
community pool.
There were no team
records set at this meet due
to the Manheim pool 40 yard
pool and regulation size is
25 meter pool.
Our team did come
through with quite a few
winners as follows:

6:15 p.m. at Lititz Springs
the team will swim their last
league meet for the season.

The 4th of July Commit-
tee, the Board members and
the entire membership of
the Marietta Jaycees wishes
to thank each and every
person who helped make our
two day 4th of July
Stay-at-Home Celebration a
success.
We thank everyone who
prepared the park for our
use and everyone who
helped improve facilites. A
large thanks to everyone
who helped at the carnival
stands, assisted at bingo, or
in a food stand; without you
we would not have been so
successful. Also we express
thanks to the fire policemen,
firemen, and ambulance
personnell who are incalu-
able each year.
We sincerely thank every-
one who visited the park and

showed their support of our
project. We seek each year
to show our thanks with
bigger and better fireworks.
A committee is planning for
July 2nd and 3rd for next
year’s celebration. Any
opinions for a better 1976
celebration are welcome.
We, the Marietta Jaycees
invite all young men be-
tween the ages of 18 and 35
to join our organization
during July, August, or
September, Meetings are
the first and third Wednes-
days at 9 p.m. at Jaycee
Headquarters, 13 W. Mar-
ket St., all interested men
are invited to attend any

make new friends, serve

members to join in our

Our Ecology recycling
project is each Saturday at
the old Marietta School,
paper and/or glass may be
dropped off. Anyone
interested in working on the
school renovations, just stop
by Saturdays.
