Beck Il When Bob and Mary Hoffmaster of Mount Joy awoke on their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary last week they found the above two quaint creatures in their front yard, bearing congratulations on *‘25 years of bedded bliss.’ It wasn’t the first time they had found these strange smiling beings in their front yard. In fact, the‘‘Smiley’’ figures have been appearing both in their yard and in the yard of the Ron Hawthornes in Mount Joy for the past couple years. The Hoffmasters’ children surprised them with an anniversary party. In the past, the summer playground program has been paid for by the Donegal Schodl District. This year, with increased general costs, and higher taxes, the school board withdrew its support of summer recreational activ- ities in all municipalities within the school district. The East Donegal super- visors have provided the necessary funds to get the recreational activities underway - with the under- standing that local citizens and organizations will con- tribute to its support.
