D.* June 21st at 2 p.m. His theme was the Art of Rose Growing. He gave much valuable informaton concer- ning his experience over the years while growing roses. He brought beautiful specimens with him as well as products with which he has success for controlling disease and insects on rose stalks. He now has a collection of 200 rose plants at his residence at 351 S. Delta St., Mount Joy. Many blooms are shared through the year with individuals to whom he wished to give special joy. Much special care through the year is a must for successful rose culture. Singing was led by Anna Mae Eby. Mrs. Lillian Eby had charge of devotional time. Minutes of the May meeting were read by Ruth Eby. Roll call revealed rose choices of the 25 members and 1 visitor present. Mrs. Elizabeth Shuman gave the Treasurer’s Report. Mrs. Eloise Rentzell, Elizabethtown, R. D. 1 was taken in to the Society at this meeting. A correction from our May article is that the accompanying pianist was Beth Raber rather than the name mentioned. Looking forward, the County Picnic is planned for August 6th at Manor Camp Ground. Hostesses serving season- al refreshments were Hettie Ginder, Ruth Musser, Ann Shank and Ada Greider. M.J.
