Hostetter’s Banquet Hall
was the scene of the 19th
annual 75 Plus Banquet,
Thursday, June 12, 1975.
This event is sponsored
jointly by the Mount Joy
Jaycee’s and Joycee-ettes.

Lee Bickford Now a Member of
The Susquehanna Bulletin Staff
Lee (Mrs. James E.) Rick-
ford, a woman of many ta-
lents, has joined the staff of
the Susquehanna Bulletin as
advertising representative.
Mrs. Bickford is the
mother of three children:
James, Jr.; Samantha; and
Clint. She is an expert
gardener, professional wed-
ding cake baker, apartment
building manager, antique
dealer, and active club
woman (Welcome Wagon,
Parents Group at Maytown
School, International Order
of Foresters).
The Bickfords attend First
Presbyterian Church, Mount

and asssistant sales mana-
ger, among other positions.
She has sold everything from
cosmetics to encyclopaedias.

A delicious chicken dinner
was served to the guests by
the Joycee-ettes.
Entertainment was pro-
vided by Mrs. Eugene
Wright who played the
Swiss Bells, and Miss Sandy
Heisey-soloist, and Mrs.
"Broske was accompanist.
Mr. William Bower, pres-
ident of Jaycee’s, served as
Master of Ceremonies.
Flowers which were dona-
ted by Mary Schaffer were
awarded to guests who
attended the banquet for the
first time this year. Flowers
also were awarded to Nedra
Brandt and Mrs. Roy Asper,
who celebrated their birth-
days today.
Hats, theme
chic or ridieulous - will be
featured at the E-Town
CWC meeting scheduled for
July 9 at 12:30 p.m., at
Hostetter’s in Mount Joy.
Members are asked to
design a never-to-be-forgot-
ten headdress for the
occasion. The ‘‘Mad Hat-
ter’’ will be present to add
to the fun.
Mrs. Athalia McDonald of
Paoli will be featured (and
serious) speaker. Mrs. Joan
Betty of Mt. Joy will be
soloist. Nursery will be
ll provided at Mt. Joy Menno-
nite Church.
Tickets must be pur-
chased in advance. Check
($3.25) and self-addressed,
stamped envelope should be
sent to Mrs. Marilyn Mum-

The monthly Prayer Cof-
fee is scheduled for June 2S
at 9:30 a.m. at the home of
Donna Wetzel, Donegal
Springs Road, Mt. Joy.
Nursery will be provided.
Last week's meeting fea-
tured Mrs. Jack Yost,
Berwick, as speaker. Mrs.
Yost and her three daugh-
ters sang several numbers.
Christine Burkhart of the
Bridal Bouquet, Mount Joy,
made up flowers for the
wedding day.
