The Olde Town Hall
Museum, Marietta, will be
open inconjunction with the
dedication of the Marietta
Pioneer Fire Hall dedication
on Saturday, May 31, from
12 to S p.m. The structure,
which has three floors, was
once the center for commu-
nity activities. Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Lehhert, cura-
tors, contribute time and
money in maintaining the
1847 structure which houses
. antiques and memorabilia of
local color. A country store,
. Civil War relics, a library, a
jail or dungeon, and the
“% boro’s early fire fighting
: equipment are among the
interesting features on the
first floor.
The town clock, which

while the cable reaches to
the tower which houses the
four faces.
On the second floor is a
one room school. Desks,
lunch boxes and school
books are placed in the
room. An organ in working
condition adds to the atmos-
phere of the old school.
The third floor was once
the meeting place for
various lodges and fraternal
organizations. Incomplete
plans have been made which
may include art exhibits or
some other attraction ap-
pealing to the public for this
floor.
Admission to the Marietta
Olde Town Hall Museum is
free.
