Mrs. Alice Leas, Poppy
Chairman of the Maytown
American Legion Auxiliary
Unit 809, kicked off the
annual poppy sale Friday by
selling Mrs. Mae Gibble the
first poppy. Funds raised by
the sale of poppies go to
help veterans in the VA
hospitals. Poppies can be
purchased from any Legion
Auxiliary member for the
remainder of the month.

Wagon board members met
Wednesday, May 14, at the
home of Denise Brady.
Financial matters were
brought up to date and plans
were made to finish out the
year.
Crafts will meet for the
last time, May 29, at 8 P.M.
at Sharon Oldfather’s. The
group will be doing crewel
and quilling or whatever you
like.
Deposits will be taken at
the May dinner meeting for
the trip to Mt. Gretna. Full
payment is due to Teresa
Riss miller by June 6.

Welcome Wagon Club.‘ A
car caravan will leave from
Weis Markets promptly at
5:45 P.M., June 18.
