Pennsylvania motorists
who attempt to drive vehic-
les bearing 1974 registra-
tion stickers after March 31
stand a serious chance of
running afoul of the law.
The penalty for using an
expired registration isa $10
fine plus costs or five days
in jail.
Last April a total of
2,056 drivers were arrested
for improper registration.
That figure for one month
is one-third of the total
year’s arrests for improper
registration in 1974, and
for the most part it repre-
sents drivers who just wait-
ed too long to apply for
their 1974 license stickers
but continued to drive their
cars on the old tags.
