HARRISBURG YFC
PRESENTS MUSICAL
“ALLELUIA”
““Alleluia!”, a “Service of
Praise” musical, will be pre-
sented by the Greater Harris-
burg Youth for Christ “Cho-
sen Generation” on Sunday
evening, March 16th, at St.
Mark’s United Methodist
Church, 27-29 East Main St.,
Mount Joy, Pa., beginning
at 7 p.m..in the sanctuary
of the church.
“Alleluia!” is primarily
intended as a praise-gather-
ing for believers. In this
service singers and congrega-
tion praise God together as
they reflect on the life of
Christ, his sacrificial death
on the cross, and his trium-
phant resurrection. Testi-
monies of God’s greatness
to men are shared through-
out the presentation.
The “Chosen Generation”
made their first presentation
of “Alleluia!” at the annual
TFC Sponsor’s Banquets in
September of 1974. They
are now presenting the musi-
cal at monthly church con-
certs in the greater Harris-
burg area. The original musi-
cal was written by Bill and
Gloria Gaither with music
by Ron Huff. The produc-
tion is augmented with tech-
nical lighting, dramatic stag-
ing, and a media presenta-
tion of colored slides. Direc-
tor is Richard Hiler, Assist-
ant Professor of Music at
Messiah College and Director
of all music ministries at
Youth for Christ. The pro-
gram is narrated by the Rev.
George Kell, Assistant Direc-
tor of the Greater Harris-
burg YFC. Response to the
blessings of this unique mini-
stry of music has been en-
thusiastic and many persons
have reported making com-
mitments to Christ as a re-
sult of this program.
Members of the “Chosen
Generation” will be given
supper by the ladies of St.
Mark’s Church with the
youth of the congregation
serving in a host capacity
