NOTICE
Notice is hereby given,
pursuant to “The Local Tax
Enabling Act,” that the Bor-
ough of Mount Joy, Lancas-
ter County, Pennsylvania,
intends to enact an ordin-
ance imposing a tax at the
rate of one (1%) percent on
salaries, wages, commissions,
bonuses, incentive pay-
ments, net profits and other
forms of compensation re-
ceived or earned on or after
July 1, 1975, by individual
residents of the Borough of
Mount Joy. The reason
which, in the judgment of
the Borough Council, ne-
cessitates the imposition of
the tax is the need for
additional tax revenues for
general Borough purposes.
It is estimated that the re-
venue to be derived from
said proposed tax will be
$82,000.00. The said or-
dinance will be acted upon
at a meeting of the Borough
Council of the Borough of
Mount Joy to be held on
March '10, 1975S, at 7:30
p.m., at 21 East Main Street,
Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given
that the Borough Council
of the Borough of Mount
Joy, Lancaster, County,
Pennsylvania will hold a
public hearing at 7:30 p:m.,
prevailing time, on Febru-
ary 19, 1975 in the Florin
Fire Hall for the purpose
of considering revised zon-
ing regulations. The pro-
posed ordinance is to a-
ment the present ordinance
by replacing existing regu-
lations with new provisions
regulating the use of land
and structures, area of lots,
density of population, ac-
cessory uses and dividing
the Borough into nine zon-
ing districts. The ordin-
ance also provides proce-
dures for administration,
enforcement, penalties and
appeals.
The proposed ordinance
amending the former or-
dinance will contain the
following:
1. General Provisions
2. Community Develop-
ment ment Objectives
3. Glossary of Zoning
Terms
4. Designation of Dis-
tricts
5. Regulations for the
following Districts:
