Mrs. Mildred Engle
Fletcher is in Intensive Care
at the Lebanon Valley
General Hospital.
Mrs. Grace Boltz has been
a patient at the Lancaster
General Hospital. She is
expecting to return to her
home this week.
George Houseal is a guest
at the Pleasant View Nur-
sing Home.
Another Senior Citizen,
Elizabeth Fletcher passed
away last week.
Carrie Alexander, age 95,
passed away at the Green
Acres Rest Home in Adams
County. She was a former
resident of this area and is
the last of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart
Meade, Warwick, Rhode
Island, spent several days
with Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Engle. They were called
home on account of the death
of Elizabeth Fletcher.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Engle
accompanied the Meades on
Saturday when they
returned to their home.
Mrs. Ruth Hoffman
celebrated her birthday
anniversary, Friday, Dec.
13th.
The Golden Age Club held
the Christmas Banquet at
the Magic Chef last Tuesday.
There were 33 members and
guests attended. The guests
were: Pastor and Mrs, Earl
Herr, Pastor Marstellar and
Mrs. Rosenberry,
Miss Helen Hollenbaugh
and Mrs. May Hicks spent
last Wednesday in New York
City.
A Christmas Pageant —
The Man Who Hated
Christmas will be presented
in the Reformed Church
December 24 at 7 p.m. There
will also be a Candlelight
Service at the end of the
Pageant.
The Crusaders of the
Brethren in Christ Church
will present a Christmas
Play on Sunday evening at
7:30 p.m.
The Church of God will
have a White Gift Service
Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
There will also be a Wateh
Night Service December 31
at 11 p.m.
St. John’s Lutheran
Church will have the
Children’s Christmas Ser-
vice at 10:45 Sunday and the
Christmas Decorating Party
and Caroling Sunday at 6:30
p.m. Dec. 22nd.
Ellsworth Brandt has
returned from the hospital
and is convalescing at her
home.
Mrs. Mary Loucks has also
returned from the hospital
and is convalescing at home.
