St. Marks to Hold
Congregational
Meeting Sunday
The annual
Congregational Dinner
meeting will be held in the
Fellowship hall of St. Mark’s
United Methodist Church, on
Sunday, Dec. 8, immediately
following the Morning
Worship Service.
A full-course meal will be
served by the ladies of the
congregation.
The business of the Annual
Church Conference will
follow with the pastor, W.
Richard Kohler, presiding.
There will be a review of the
events of the past year and a
slide presentation of a
number of congregational
activities will follow.
Election of officers for 1975
and the presentation of the
church’s budget for the new
year will be major items on
the agenda. There also will
be a report from the church’s
trustees on their activities
and projects. Finally, there
will be projections into 1975
and a closing challenge to
the people by the. pastor.
CHRISTMAS TEA
The Women’s Republican
Club of Lancaster City and
County will hold its annual
Christmas tea and in-
stallation of officers on
Thursday, December 12,
from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. John I.
Hartman, Jr., 47 Glen Moore
Circle. The home is located
off Route 501 opposite the
Lancaster Shopping Center.
The tea is open to the
public and no reservations
are necessary.

Gelder Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. George B.
Siller, Mount Joy R1, were
the guests of honor at a
surprise drop-in party on
Sunday, Nov. 24, com-
memorating their 50th
wedding anniversary, given
by their daughter, Doris J.
Morton, at her home.
The couple was married on
Nov. 22,1924, in the Lutheran
parsonage by the late Rev.
George M. Kircher.
Mrs. Siller is the former
Frances E. Garber,
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Amos Garber. Mr..
Siller is the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Siller.
Mr. Siller retired from
Gerberich-Payne Shoe
company this past June,
after having been a shoe
cutter with the firm for 53
years.
Mrs. Siller retired in July
1973 from Ginder’s Dry
Cleaner’s store in Mount
Joy. She also has been
employed at Gerberich-
Payne for several years.

They have six grandchildren
and two great-
grandchildren.
Joycee-ettes Hold
November Meeting
President Crystal Fackler,
president, was in charge of
the November business
meeting of the Mount Joy
Joycee-ettes, held recently.
A puppet show was given
by a Women’s Club of
Lancaster, entitled ‘‘Bar-
nyard Frolic’’ for the
children of Messiah Home,
on Saturday afternoon, Nov.
23.

chased for the Messiah
Home Children, from the
Joycee-ettes. :
Finalized plans were made
for the annual Joycee-ettes
bazaar, to be held Friday
and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7 at
St. Marks Methodist church.
