Seventy seven pieces were sewn at the General Hospital by several members on October 23. Hostesses Anna Keener, Anna Risser, Anna Chapman and Vera Frey served refreshments. The place for the Christ- mas meeting, December 7, has been changed to the Crossroads Brethren in Christ Church in Mount Joy. January 6 and 7 are the dates for the state con- vention. : Welcome Wagon Club To Hold Two-Day Bazaar A two-day Christmas Bazaar, sponsored by the Mount Joy Welcome Wagon club will be staged Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and 23, in Friendship Fire Hall assembly room. Hours Friday will be from 6 until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. There will be hand-crafted items of a wide variety, a “children’s table’’ and at least two paintings by Mrs. Dorothy Peters. With the bazaar there also will be a bake sale. The bazaar was organized by Mrs. Thelma Rankin and Pat Weatherbie. Proceeds are to benefit the Mount Joy Library. HEARING POSTPONED Because of technical reasons, a scheduled hearing Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Florin fire house concerning revising of zoning regulations in the borough was cancelled.
