Mrs. Margaret H.
Denlinger, 79, formerly of 55
W. Walnut St., Marietta, died
at 11:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov.
14, at the Baily Nursing
Home, Elizabethtown, after
a one-year illness.
She was the widow of John
E. Denlinger, who died in
1972.
Born in Marietta, where
she resided her entire life,
she was a daughter of the
late J. Andrew and Matilda
Marley Haas.
She was a member of the
First Church of Christ,
Scientist, Boston, Mass. and
the American Legion
Auxiliary, William Brenner
Post 466, Marietta.
She is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Mary D.
Davis, Marietta; a brother,
J. Andrew Haas, Camp Hill,
and a grandson.
Services were held Sunday
afternoon from the Smedley
funeral home, Marietta, and
burial was made in the
Paradise Mennonite
cemetery.

For Crash Victim
Funeral services for
Theodore R. Myers, 28, who
died Friday, Nov. 15, as a
result of an auto accident
while enrout to a hunting
camp were held Tuesday
morning, Nov. 19.
Rites were held from the
Sheetz funeral home and
burial was made in the
Salunga Mennonite
cemetery.
Myers, accompanied by
friends, was in collision with
a pick-up truck on a rural
road in Snyder county. Also
killed in the crash was Jay
Richard Shelly, 31, Lititz.
Myers was the son of
Charles R. and Dorothy H.
Myers, of Salunga. A lifelong
Salunga resident, he was
employed by his father with
Myers Bros. Inc., well
drillers.
He was a member of
Chiques Methodist church,
Salunga, and assistant chief
and secretary of the Salunga
Fire Department.
He was a member of
Casiphia Lodge 551, Free
‘and Accepted Masons,
Mount Joy, the Lancaster
Lodge of Perfection, the
Harrisburg Consistory and
Harrisburg Zembo Temple.
He had served with the
Pennsylvania National
Guard’s 103rd Medical
Battalion, 20th Division.
Surviving, besides his
parents, are his widow,
Dorothy.

Time for Yule Mailing
To Corners of World
It may not seem that
Christmas is so near!
But, it is time for most all
Christmas mail which is
going into far-away corners
of the world to be on its way.
Postmaster Gerald
Hostetter said this week that
mailings, unless they are by
air, should be on their way at
once, if they are headed for
the Far East, Antarctica,
Australia, Ethiopia, Iran,
Israel, Saudi Arabia,
Turkey, Congo, Liberia,
Continental Europe, South
and Central America,
Newfoundland, Greenland
and Labrador.
Military mail, especially,
needs to be started im-
mediately, if going outside
the U.S.
During the first week in
December, mailings should
go out, even airmail, to most
of the locations mentioned
above, if to the military.
International mailing,
unless by airmail, of cards
and parcels should be on
their way to Canada and
Mexico by the first week of
next month and air parcels
to Africa, Near East and Far
East should be started.
