Steve Flick Completes Course Steven R. Flick, Columbia, R1 a central office repair- man for the United Telephone Company of Pennsylvania, recently completed a study course of the function, operation, testing and maintenance of special telephone switching equipment called the Series 100 Director. Added to telephone ex- changes, the equipment solves switching and trunking problems that arise from telephone area growth and expansion. It also enables the telephone company to provide modern services such as U-Touch pushbutton calling. The course was conducted in the training center of GTE Automatic Electric, located in Northlake, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Flick has been with the company for almost one year. He is a graduate of Donegal high school and attended Pennsylvania State university. He is married to the former Carol A.
