Those are the words which knit together .the fabric of our society. They are the golden threads which glow through the rough places of our culture. Family, friends, church, business, schools — the patterns of daily existence depend basically upon these elements of daily living. The faith, the trust and the confidence of a man in a woman, a parent in a child; the trust and faith of one man’s word given to another; the confidence placed in the simple words, “‘I did’ or “1 did not’’, are the essence of our lives and our hopes for the future. Those then, are the undergirding elements which are coming into focus these days in Washington D. C. where an “I did or an “I did not” is not presented in good faith, is not a statements of truth and cannot be accepted with confidence. Is it possible that this traumatic soul- wrenching Watergate experience is an ex- pression of the nation’s conscience — a changed attitude toward simple honesty? Twice within months this nation has been called upon to accept the fact it very highest- placed leaders have betrayed the confidence and trust placed in their hands. Twice the people have been wounded and their faith has been stretched to the bitter ends of credibility. Twice the country has been asked to believe the words of men who later were caught in strangling webs. But, a new day is arriving, a new opportunity is on the horizon and a new opportunity for a Brandt Names Larry D. Boozer To Lead Campaign Rep. Kenneth Brandt (R- Lancaster) has announced the appointment of Larry D. Boozer as campaign manager for his re-election bid for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Nov. 5. Brandt explained that Boozer, 578 Ridgeview Avenue, Elizabethtown, is employed as a Machining Supervisor at the Lancaster Malleable Casting company, Lancaster, and is a member of Elizabethtown Borough council. “Larry is the past president and a former vice- president of the Elizabethtown Jaycees, and has served as the regional chairman and district chairman of the Penn- sylvania Jaycees,’ Brandt said. Boozer is a life member of the International Jaycees and has been presented a senatorship by the Elizabethtown Jaycees. Brandt said that Boozer is a member of the Church Council of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy, is chairman of the Property Committee of the church and is the Sunday School Superintendent. He is married to the for- mer Linda L. Sheilds and has two children, Kellie Jo and Gregory Dale. weekly newspaper — the “Weather Vane” — which has won ‘all American” ratings four- times.
