Bob Blake and Bill Nagy camped at Camp Mack last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Houseal spent last weekend touring Williamsburg. This trip was a gift of their children for their parents 25th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris and children are visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Morris. The Robert Morris family expects to move to this area soon. The Father and Son Banquet of the Reformed Church was held last Sunday evening. It was served by the ladies of the church. Harry Drace is a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Annabelle Hawthorne is also a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. George Engle returned from the hospital last Saturday and is con- valescing at home. Airman Kenneth Strominger of Guam has been promoted to A-1C. He has been assigned a dope sniffing dog and he will go to Okinawa in July for special training with his dog. The Excelsior Class of the Church of God met at Bootic’s home on Tuesday evening. The Choir and some of the members of the above church attended the evening worship service last Sunday at the Newburg Church where the Rev. Wiest is pastor. The Wiests invited the folks to their new home in the afternoon and it was arranged for them to have dinner at the Newburg Church. Vacation Bible School will be held June 24-28, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church. A Retirement Dinner will be held June 30 at 6 p.m. for Pastor Steigerwalt at the above church. United Methodist Student Day with students par- Kohler, pastor of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church has been returned to the congregation for a sixth year of ministry by the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, which recently met in annual session at Albright College. On Sunday, June 23, at the 10:15 o'clock Worship Ser- vice, the pastor will reflect upon his years in Mount Joy in a sermon entitled ‘Five Years a Mount Joy Pastor’. The message will both review the accomplishments of the congregation and point to the challenges and op- portunities of the years to come. Also as part of the service, the lay delegate of the church, John Hershey, will share some of the highlights of the conference session, held in Reading. Landisville Church Plans Bible School Landisville Church of God, will hold its Daily Vacation Bible School July 29 - August 9, Saturday and Sunday excluded. The school will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. All children are invited. Classes will be graded from nursery through sixth grade. The school will use material from Standard Publishing Co. entitled “Good News Is ..... JESUS”.
