Harold Etsell, Scout
roundtable commissioner,
for the Western District, Boy
Scouts of America, was
presented the Silver Beaver
Award, highest award ac-
corded by a Scouting council,
at the eighth annual Western
District dinner Saturday
Gerberich-Payne Shoe Co.
He served as scoutmaster of
Troop 39 in Mount Joy for 25
years (1953 to 1968) and has
been roundtable com-
missioner since that time.
He is a member of St.
Mark’s United Methodist

In her book, Mildred
Krentel tells of the birth of
her daughter, Melissa, who

grief and anxiety associated
with such a tragedy. After
much agonizing indecision,
she and her husband placed
their small, afflicted infant
in a home for retarded
youngsters.
However, the unexpected
happened when the teenage
members of the Krentel
family demanded that
Melissa come home for a

some criticism from
