May 15, 1974 Donegal Chorus To Give Spring Concert Sunday The Donegal High School chorus will hold its Spring concert, “Springtime Notes,” on Sunday May 19, at 3 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. RoAnn Lau, will perform such selections as: ‘‘Russian Picnic,’”’ *‘‘Holiday,”’ “Melodies From the Music Man,” “The Fly and the Flea,”” and various other tunes. The concert also features the Rhythm Singers, who will perform “Once in Love With Amy,” ‘‘Mame,” ‘‘People,”” ‘‘Supercalifra- gilisticexpialidocious.” Featured also in the concert will be the ninth grade chorus which will perform ‘The Orchestra,” “Spring is Here,” ‘‘America Our Heritage,”” ‘“Talk to the Animals.” Name Art Show Judges Two judges have been named for the 1974 Com- munity Council Art Show, to be held Saturday and Sun- day, May 25 and 26. They are James Phillips, Marietta avenue, Mount Joy, and Mrs. Rollin C. Steinmitz, Manheim R2. The show is part of the Memorial Day weekend activities. It will provide 12 classes of competition. There will be sections for students, amateurs and professionals in sculpture, water colors, graphics and oil or acrylics. Cash prizes awarded winners. Work will be on display at the Phillips Art Studio, Concord alley, Saturday, May 25, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Exhibits must be at the Phillips Studio between 3 and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. All must be originals (no copies accepted) and must be framed or matted. Mark, has been very busy recently with a variety of activities. They include a ‘‘Clean Up Day’’ on April 27 and a 10-mile hike from Elizabethtown to Mount Gretna on April 28 with twenty three leaders and Cubs participating. On May 2, the monthly com- mittee meeting was held at the home of John Shireman with the following leaders attending: Robert W. St. Mark's Plans Anniversary Sunday Special plans have been in the making for many weeks in preparation for the annual observance of Anniversary Sunday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, on May 19. Fifty year members of the congregation will be recognized. There will also be a reception of new members. Miss Lois Miller of New York City will occupy the pulpit. The newly renovated basement area of the church, which now provides an additional three classrooms, will be dedicated with the congregation joining in the dedicatory Litany. Fifty years of Church Life and Activity will be highlighted in a display prepared by a committee of the church under the leadership of Dr. Ezra Ranck. In the evening, at 7 o'clock. the Chancel Choir will present an entire concert of choral music featuring much of the music which the choir has learned and rendered throughout the past year.
