Roda, Morgan, Hallgren and Heinly Attorneys 47-3tc ORDINANCE NO. 361 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BICYCLE OR- DINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MOUNT JOY, OR- DINANCE ENACTED FEBRUARY 5, 1962, AS AMENDED, PROVIDING FOR THE ELIMINATION OF TRANSFER LICENSE REGISTRATION AND SEPARATE LICENSE RENEWAL FEES, AND EXTENDING THE DURATION OF LICENSES BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and it is hereby ordained and enacted as follows: Section 1. Sections 5(b), 5(c) and 5(f) of the Ordinance enacted February 5, 1962, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: “Section 5. Licenses, Registration, Fees (b) Upon application in such form as Council may from time to time approve, the Mayor shall issue and renew licenses under this ordinance, upon receipt of the required fee. Each license shall be evidenced by a registration card and a numbered license plate. A license plate shall be issued upon each original application, and it shall continue to be valid as long as the licensee holds the original registration card of a currently effective renewal card. Each renewal card shall have noted thereon the number of the license plate to which it is related. (1) The license plate must be attached to the bicycle as hereinafter provided. The registration card shall be shown upon request of any police officer. If the operator does not have the registration card with him when requested to show it, he shall exhibit it to the police officer or to the Mayor within 48 hours thereafter. (2) The Mayor shall keep an accurate record of the name and address of each person to whom a license is issued, and of each renewal thereof. He shall also keep a record of identification of each bicycle for which a license is in effect. (3) All licenses and renewals thereof shall expire on June 30, 1976, and biennially thereafter on June 30 of each even numbered year. Renewal applications will be received by the Mayor on or after May 1 of each even numbered year. (4) The biennial fee for each original and renewal license shall be One ($1.00) Dollar; provided that if an application for an original license is received where said license would expire within one (1) year under Section 5(b) (3) of this or- dinance, then the fee for said license shall be Fifty ($.50) Cents. (c) The licenses granted hereunder shall not be trans- ferable from one person to another. (f) No license replacement shall be granted to any person whose license has been suspended for violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance, during the time such suspension is in effect. No person whose license has been suspended shall operate any bicycle within the limits of the Borough of Mount Joy during the period of such suspension.” Sectiion 2. In all other respects the Ordinance enacted February 5, 1962, as amended, shall remain the same. Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective im- mediately.
