Display Of Scissor Cuttings Shown At Library Center Scherenschnitte, the German art of scissor cutting, is being featured at the Mount Joy library with a display by a Donegal high school senior. The cuttings were done by Anne Spangler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spangler, Fairview avenue, Marietta. Her work is traditional 18th and 19th century designs but the craft dates back to the 4th century B.C., when the ancient Chinese used them as decorations for their religious festivals. The craft traveled through the centuries, passing through most European countries. It became a popular folk craft in the colonies in the late 1600's. At the present time it is the second most important folk craft in Poland and gradually is being revived in the United States. Richard Buchanan Plays On MSC Tennis Team Richard H. Store eggs in the shell with large ends up to keep yolk from sticking to the shell. This position also helps them keep their natural quality longer. Eggs will lose some of their good looks after a week in the refrigerator, but they will usually be just as good in taste and nutritive value. To prevent off-taste, keep eggs in the refrigerator away from cheese, citrus, fish or other aromatic foods. Remember--to get the most for your egg money-- store eggs properly once you get them home from the store. WANTED Single Man for Lawn Work Furnished apartment optional. No children. No pets.
