Mrs. Lillian Engle entered
St. Joseph’s Hospital last
week and underwent surgery
last Thursday. She is in
Room 504.
Mrs. Anna Mayers is a
medical patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital.
Howard Sipling is also a
patient in St. Joseph's
Hosptial.
The American Legion
Auxiliary will meet at the
home of Mrs. Anna Haines

The Golden Age Club will

Maytown Boy Scout Troop
53 will have a paper drive on

Church has begun a series of
joint services with Conoy
and Elizabethtown with Dr.
Martin Shrag as the guest

Maytown March 31.
On Saturday, March 23,
the film, ‘‘A Letter to
Nancy’ will be shown at the
Brethren in Christ Church
with the Crusaders from
neighboring churches.
Mid-week Lenten Services
are being held at St. John’s
Lutheran Church every week
during Lent.
The Bible Study Group of
the Reformed Church will
hold the first meeting
Monday evening March 11 at
7:30 at the church. They will
study the letters of St. Paul.
Miss Anna Culp has been
on the sick list. Let us
remember her with cards.
Mrs. Martha Mayers is
still convalescing since her
recent hospitalization. I am
sure she would appreciate a
card also.
Pastor Rosenberry
returned from his tour of the
Holy Lands last Thursday.
During his trip he spent 1 day
in France, 5 days in Israel
and two days in Greece.
The Church of God will
have revival Services from
March 24 to 31. K. Hull Byers
will be the guest minister.

Family Night
Program Planned
At St. Mark's
Fellowship Hall will be the
site for a quarterly Family
Night program of the St.
Mark’s United Methodist
church congregation on
Sunday evening, March 10,
beginning at 6:15 o’clock.
Young and old will join in
an evening of informal
sharing. The program will
honor the persons received
into the congregation during
1973- more than 50.
Biographies of the new
members, including special
interests and exciting
moments, will be presented
while individual and family
pictures will be flashed on
the screen. Also, slides will
be shown of happenings in
and around the church
during the past year.
Refreshments will be ser-
ved.
Rev. Lamar Gibble
At Florin Church
On Sunday morning,
March 10, guest speaker in
the Florin Church of the
Brethren will be the Rev. H.
Lamar Gibble, Elgin, Ill. He
is Peace and International
Affairs Consultant in the
national offices of the
Church of te Brethren.
A native of Pennsylvania,
Rev. Gibble formerly was
pastor of the Good Shepherd
Church of the Brethren,
Silver Springs, Md. In his
field o. international affairs,
he has crisscrossed the
world many times, sharing
in strategic conferences and
responsibilities.
The Morning Worship
Service at the Florin Church
will be at 10 o’clock.
Five-Sunday Course
At Chiques Church
A five-Sunday-night Bible
survey course, featuring Dr.
L. Elbert Wethington, is
being held at the Chiques
United Methodist church
during the month of March.
The class, beginning at 7
p.m. is being held each
Sunday evening - March 3-10-
17-24-31.
Dr. Wethington received
his college degree from
Wake Forest university, his
seminary degree from Duke
Divinity School, and his Ph.
D from Duke university. He
taught at the Union
Theological School, and
presently is chairman of the
department of religion,
lebanon Valley college.
The Bible course began on
Sunday, March 3, preceded
by a covered dish supper.
There will be a nusrery
provided by the Young
Adults for the Bible Study.

covered dish supper spon-
sored by the Women’s
Republican Club of Lan-
caster City and County on
Tuesday, March 19, at 6:30
