Two Recent Deaths
At Schock Home
Two residents of the Schock °
Presbyterian Home have passed
away recently.
Ruth M. Brandt died on Sun-
day, Nov. 25, at the age of 83
years. Services were conducted
from the Reber funeral home in
Middletown on Wednesday, Nov.
28, with the Rev. Arthur R. Haaf
officiating. She was a native of
Marietta and was buried in the
Marietta cemetery.
Miss Anna Taylor, formerly of
the Wilkes Barre area, died on
Nov. 18. She was 87.
MISS FANNIE EITNIER
Miss Fannie M. Eitnier, 86, of
819 W. Main St., died at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 25 at her home after
an illness of several weeks.
Miss Eitnier, a registered
nurse, was graduated from
Friends hospital in Philadelphia
where she had been employed.
She also worked at Shriners
hospital in Philadelphia.
A resident of Mount Joy for the
past eight years, she formerly
lived in Lititz.
Born in Brunnerville, she was
the daughter of the late Thomas
and Barbara Myers Eitnier.
She is survived by one brother,
Urias Eitnier, West Lawn, and
one sister, Mrs. Anna
Longenecker, Mount Joy, with
whom she resided.
Private services were held
from the Spacht funeral home,
Lititz, and burial was made in the
Brunnerville cemetery.
Explain Chrismons
To St. Marks Women
On Tuesday evening, Dec. 11,
at 7:30 the United Methodist
Women of St. Mark’s U.M.
Church will have a special
Christmas program entitled,
“The Tree of Chrismons.”
Mrs. James Heilig will present
the program and explain the
symbolism used in the
Chrismons.
The program will include
special musical selections and
carol-singing. Refreshments will
be served. ;
All women of the church are
invited to learn, to enjoy, to have
fellowship and to take part in this
presentation. The program is
being coordinated by Mary
Sprecher, Nora Eby and Ruth
Balsbaugh.
The public, men and women,
are invited to attend.
ON SALVAGE SHIP
Navy Electronics Warfare
Technician Second Class Donald
E. Gallagher, husband of the
former Rosemarie Rodgers of
Route 1, Marietta, is a
crewmember of the salvage ship
U.S.S. Opportune, which is part
of Task Force 140 in support of
the Skylab Four manned space
flight.
