Boys and girls are asked to ride the school buses, unless there are important extenuating cir- cumstances. Student driving to school will be sanctioned, if a real need exists. Valid needs at this point would include medical, dental or other appointments of this nature. At this time, it is not the intent of the administration or faculty to investigate every reason for a student driving to school. Your President has made an appeal for each citizen to do his part in conserving gasoline. It is our duty as school people and good citizens to help give direction to this end. In the meantime, the Indians opened the warm-up games strong, offering hopes of an ex- citing season. In the season's opener, at home against Octorara, the Indians held a nice, 30-20, lead at halftime ‘but the intermission time was a turning point. The visitors came back and outscored Donegal, 18-15, in the third period and 22-15 in the fourth for a 60-57 final victory. Dettinger led the Indians with 22 points, Bridgette followed with 15 and Schlosser had nine. Three days later, the Tribe met Dallastown, but again were forced to a three-point defeat.
