Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heaps
spent time this fall touring the
New England States. They
traveled the country roads and
enjoyed the beautiful colored
foliage and picturesque country
side. They saw a maple sugar
factory in operation in Vermont
and marveled at the process
involved to make candy. Also in
Vermont they visited a granite
quarry. While in New Hampshire
they viewed the Great Stone
Face, stayed in the quaint New
England town of North Conway,
took a skimobile ride to the
summit of Mt. Cranmore and
took a boat ride on Lake Win-
nipesankee.
While in Massachusetts they
saw many historic sites in the old
cities of Boston, Salem,
Lexington, Concord. They were
impressed with the narrow,
quaint cobblestone streets. They
toured Harvard University and
saw- the glass flower museum.
They spent time in Plymouth,
Cape Cod and Provincetown, an
artist colony with small shops
and coblestone streets. The final
stop on their trip was New Port,
Rhode Island and Mystic, Con-
necticut where they spent time at
the Maritime Museum.
Cub Scout Round Table was
held at the Zion Lutheran Church
in Landisville on October 2. Those
attending from Pack 136 were
Cubmaster, Robert Mark, and
Den Mothers, Mrs. Ann Mark,
Mrs. Evelyn Duke, Mrs. Patricia
Brian, Mrs. Carolyn Waltz, and
Mrs. Madalyn Raudabaugh. On
