Rainbolt and daughter, Elizabeth, were in Atlantic City over the Labor Day weekend. They enjoyed the 80 degree ocean water and watched preparations being made for the ‘“‘Miss America’’ Pageant Saturday night, Sept. 8, including the Parade on the Boardwalk Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Todd, Pinkerton Road, were among those in Atlantic City over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sentz, Donegal Springs Road, were in Pittsburgh over the weekend to visit with their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Wilkins. Cub Scout Pack 136 held its first committee meeting on Thursday evening, Sept. 6 at the home of cubmaster Robert W. Mark. Those attending were: Jay Heller, John Shireman, Ann Mark, Evelyn Duke, Helen Keller, Carolyn Waltz, Madalyn Raudabaugh, Patricia Brian and Sara Demmy. The first Pack meeting will be held in the Seiler School cafeteria on Wednesday evening, Sept. 26 at 7 o’clock. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ross, Delta Street, and children Deb, Mike and Tracey, recently returned home after visiting with Mr. Ross’ brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ross and children, Marianne, Katherine, Jimmy, Sean, Peter and Paul. They spent five days in the Mystick, Connecticut area, saw the submarine base along the Thames River in New London, visited Mystic Seaport and spent one day at Plymouth, Mass., touring the town and seeing such historical sights as Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower. Upon arriving home they immediately unloaded and repacked for a camping trip to Fox Stone Acres near Pittsburgh with eighteen members of Mrs. Ross’ family for the Labor Day week end. Mrs. Oscar W. McGee, who lives with a grandson, and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert A. Hamilton, at 308 South Market Avenue, was honored by her family at a dinner on Sunday, Sept. 9, in honor of her 90th bir- thday. Other members of her family attending the dinner included her sister, Miss Edna Leipold of Wilmington, Del., a brother, Tom Leipold, and his wife, of Philadelphia. Great grand- children attending were a great- grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton and James Hamilton of Mount Joy. Other guests were John R. Brown and Janet L.
