But the prices! They ranged
from $10,500 for a two-year-old
used, smaller vehicle, to $30,000
for a 30-foot deluxe model! After
we had checked them out, we
could see why people WANT
them in every-growing numbers,
but we could hardly understand
the affluence that would make it
possible for so many people to
HAVE them! And it would seem
they pay quite a premium for not
having to ‘“‘pull something!’
We decided our 13-year-old
Airstream travel trailer is pretty
nice--and went across town and
bought a pair of bicycles!
The bicycles have none of the
glamour of a motor home, but
they are . down-to-earth
“recreational vehicles,” with a
lot of good exercise and fresh air
built in!
So now we have joined the ever-
growing ranks of those who are
re-discovering the fun of a
leisurely ride through the
countryside, with plenty of time
to listen to the birds, pick
roadside flowers or stop to chat
with a farmer or fellow bicyclist.
