St. Mark's Dedicates
Two Memorial Gifts
At special services Sunday
morning, May 27, two significant
gifts to St. Mark’s United
Methodist church were
dedicated.
A new set of paraments for all
seasons of the church were given
in memory of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Habecker by the family of
the late Clyde Wivel-Helen M.
Wivel, Virginia and Donald
Renck, Lillie Ann and Galen
Kopp, Joseph and Rebecca
Wivel, Pam Wivel and Tom
Wivel.
Also dedicated was a complete
new set of hymnals, a number of
which were given the church in
memory of John Updegraff by
members of his family.
TEENAGE PREGNANCY
Teenage mothers run greater
risks of having premature
babies, says James E. Van Horn,
Extension family life speicalist at
Penn State. Many girls under the
age of 18 are not physically
mature enough to carry a baby-
for 9 months and deliver it nor-
mally. They are more apt to give
birth to an underweight or
premature baby in which there is
a higher death risk. Early
prenatal care may help prevent
low birth weight or prematurity.
This is why it is important for
women to seek a doctor if she
even thinks she may be pregnant.
