Phone Surcharge Rate Takes Slight Drop The United Telephone Com- pany of Pennsylvania has an- nounced a decline in the sur- charge rate on most intrastate telephone services for its Lan- caster county area subscribers. Effective April 10, the rate will drop from 4.9 percent to 4.7 percent. The reduction has been made in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission State Tax Adjustment procedure, dated March 10, 1970.
