Cub Scout Pack 53 is hold-
ing an ice cream social Sun-
day, June 11 at the Legion
pavilion. Serving time is from

Crusader’s Day was held
last Sunday at the Brethren
in Christ Church. The boys
had. lunch at the parsonag:
and then delivered the maga-
zine Dimension. About 2 p.m.
the young folks played volley
ball, badminton and croquet.
At 5 p.m. they had refresh-
ments and a Vesper Service
at 5:45 p.m.

Dulles Airport.
Major and Mrs. Wayne
Warner and children of Pana-
ma are visiting Mrs. Myrtle
Warner and son. Wayne has
completed his tour of duty
there and will be stationed in
the states.

to have shown great improve-
ment. She is still in the hos-
pital.
William Smith has been ill
with pneumonia. The latest
report is that he is better.
Mrs. Martha Shank Busk,
of California,is visiting rela-
tives in town.
The citizens in the area of
the square contributed mon-
ey to buy red geraniums
which again adorn the square.
We as citizens, I think, owe
a vote of thanks to Warren
Rupp one of our Legionaires,
who daily raises the American
flag each morning and lowers
it each evening. [ doubt if
many persons are aware of
this.
CLASS HONORS TEACHER
Twenty-three boys and girls
in the Seiler school 1st grade
room of Mrs. Edna Charles
Hostetter honored their teach-
er Friday, June 2.
The occasion was a picnic
at SICO park.
The pupils presented Mrs.
Hostetter, who is retiring
from teaching at the end of
this semester, with a charm
medallion, approximately en-
graved.
