put into service a new 1000C-
gallon pumper. The cost was
$33,500. The Ladies Auxiliary
presented the president, Don-
ald Welcomer with a check
for $4,000 last week.
The annual Maytown Ele-
mentary School Halloween
parade will be held Friday at
1 p.m. unless it rains. Home-
room parties will be held af-
ter the parade.

ty will be held Oct. 30 from

Lutheran church for the chil-

of Christ. There were 62
members and guests attend
ed. The youngest was Aaron
Drager, 4 weeks old and the
oldest was Miss Anna Culp,
89 years old. Believe it or not
she was among those who
masqueraded.
Costumes were judged and
prizes were awarded for the
ugliest to Bobby Welcomer;
the prettiest, Mary Kanolff,;
the funniest, Michael Reedy;
the most original, Julie Kan-
off and Jean Bradley and the
most Hallaweenish, Don Dra-
ger. Sr. Judges were Mrs.
Lewis Sperla, John Dillinger
and Hiram Mayers.
