One morning last week we sat in the car for a short time and watched the birds and little animals coming and going. A chorus of crows was swooping among the tree tops, making quite a racket about something. At the foot of the trees, squirrels were chasing each other around and up and down the trunks. The award was presented by William Irwin during the dinner meeting held at the Lancaster Riding and Tennis Club. Jeffrey is a junjor at Hemp- field high school and school activities include Cross Coun- try and Track. He is also a member of the Key Club. Taking active participation in the 4-H programs, Jeff is a member of the Lancaster Co. Beef and Lamb Club, the Lancaster County Dairy club, the Lancaster County Junior Livestock Judging team. The Livestock judging team captured first place during Pennsylvania 4-H State Pays and Jeff finished fourth in the State. David, 14, has been in scouting five years and is cur- rently serving as Senior Pa- trol Leader of Troop 41 and had served as assistant patrol leader, patrol leader and den chief of his cub seeut pack. He is a ninth grader at the Hempfield high school. He is a Brotherhood member of Mingua Lodge, Order of the Arrow, and serves as secre- tary for the Chiques Chapter.
