LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, IMPOSING TAXES AND FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR THE RIS- CAL YEAR 1968. IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MOUNT JOY LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A tax is here- by levied on all property within the said Borough sub- ject to taxation for Borough purposes for the fiscal year 1968 as follows Tax rate for general pur- poses, the sum of twelve (12) mills on each dollar assessed valuation. Making a total tax rate for the Borough pur- poses under this section, of twelve (12) mills. SECTION 2. In addition-to the taxes levied by Section 1 of this ordinance, a per capi- ta tax of $5.00 is hereby lev- ied on each resident of the Borough over twenty-one years of age. for the fiscal year 1968. William Gilbert returned from the hospital last Thurs- day after bz2:ng hospitalized for 6 weeks. He is convalesc- ing at his home. Harold Fryberger returned from the hospital and is con- valescing at his home. The Rev. Graubergers had Open House at the parsonage last Sunday afternoon and avening. Mrs. Daniel - Grauberger will succeed Miss Grace Hen- derson as Supt. of the May- town U.C.C. Sunday School. Miss Henderson served as the superintendent for 25 years. It was a couple of Mount Joy's police officers. Someone had noticed the shadowy figures inside the business place and had called the po- lice. And, they had respond- ed almost instantly, for the couple had not been inside their store but a very very short time. a ° © It's easy to jump on the police and say, “They're nev- er around when you want ‘'em.” These people found found that the police are a- round. These young people so in- dignant about ‘the establish- ment” will get over it as soon as they get established.
